Jr. Master Gardener Program (ages 6-14)

Coon Rapids, Peace Lutheran Church

Kids will explore plants, soils, ecology, insects, gardening, and nutrition while getting exercise, connecting to themselves and nature, making friends, and having FUN! Free lunch after!

Wednesdays, June 13 – August 22 (except July 4, 11 & Aug.1)

Busiest Bees (ages 3-5)

St. Paul, North Dale Rec Center

Description: Join us for story times, songs, acting out a day in the life of a native mason bee, a puppet show, and more! Kids will learn about the importance of pollination and the mysterious lives of stingless, solitary bees. Caregivers/siblings are invited to join the class on Aug. 3 at 11:30 for the puppet show.

Healthy Eating, Healthy World! (ages 6-12)

St. Paul, Langford Rec Center and North Dale Rec Center

Join award-winning author/educator, Dawn Pape, as we dive into the world of food and water. After we explore healthy eating choices for ourselves, we’ll figure out where our food comes from and how to protect our food and water supplies by taking care of pollinators and our waters. Every day will include hands-on STEAM activities and projects, gardening, crafts and more! Each student will receive a free, autographed book.
